Once again this year, the Paris La Défense Christmas market placed solidarity at the heart of the festivities. From November 13 to December 28, 2025, visitors were able to take part in a simple yet meaningful initiative: the solidarity deposit program for reusable cups.

Thanks to this gesture, every visitor was able to help support local charities while enjoying the festive atmosphere and the treats on offer at the market.
A simple gesture to support charities
Every hot or cold beverage served at the market came with a reusable cup, provided for a €1 deposit. Visitors could choose to get their deposit back or donate it.
All funds raised are donated in full to the market’s partner organizations, allowing everyone to show solidarity in just a few seconds. This system combines environmental responsibility with civic engagement, as the reusable cups also reduce waste at the market.

Here are the seven organizations that will benefit from your generosity through the solidarity cup deposit program:
Ruban Rose: to raise awareness and support the fight against breast cancer, and to support those affected by the disease.
Proxité: to help every at-risk youth achieve academic and professional success through individual mentoring and group sessions.
La Défense Site Association: to develop social and cultural initiatives for the benefit of the neighborhood’s residents and employees.
La Salle à Manger: a community restaurant offering meals to people in need.
Le Chaînon Manquant: to combat food waste and redistribute surplus food to people in need.
Crée ton Avenir: to support young people in their educational and career planning through personalized guidance and group workshops.
Habitat & Humanisme: to provide people in precarious situations with dignified housing and help them regain confidence and independence through tailored support.
These organizations reflect the diversity of causes supported and allow everyone to get involved in line with their values—even through a simple gesture like a cup deposit.
